Mohammad Amir Announces Retirement From Test Cricket
Pakistan’s top left-arm seamer, Mohammad Amir has announced retirement from Test cricket. The news comes as a shock for the cricket fans considering he has been Pakistan’s go-to bowler ever since his return to international cricket.
He will no longer be seen in white outfit however, he has confirmed that the will continue to be available for limited over formats for Pakistan.
The left-arm pacer made his test debut back in 2009 against Sri Lanka in Galle and has 119 wickets to his name. In the 36 matches he has played for the country, he has 4 5 wicket-hauls.
Mohammad Amir is currently in England playing T20 Blast for Essex and the decision seems to be taken to prolong his limited-overs career. He has been a real workhorse for Pakistan in Test cricket, however, the decision to retire comes a little too early, the fans believe.
