New Huawei Mate 30 Show the Leather Porsche Design Model leak
Huawei’s next major flagship phones, the Mate 30 series, is arriving later this week. Based on rumors, we know that the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro will be powered by the new Kirin 990 SoC, whereas the Mate 30 Lite will be more of a mid-range device with a quad-camera setup.
The Mate 30 series were leaked earlier in a set of renders and live photos, and now more images have leaked days ahead of its launch.
The leak comes from Evan Blass, a prominent leakster on Twitter who has shared 3D renders and promo images for the Mate 30 lineup. What’s new here is the premium Porsche Design variants of the Mate 30 phones.
The renders show off the “waterfall display” with extremely curved edges on the screen and a wide notch at the top housing the selfie camera and an array of sensors.
At the back, there is a circular primary camera layout with four different cameras. There’s nothing concrete on the specifications of these cameras yet, but rumors suggest two 40MP sensors, a macro lens and a periscope zoom lens. The LED flash is located further away from the camera setup on one side of the phone.
The Mate 30 RS Porche Design features a gorgeous leather finish at the back with a glass strip running down the middle. It also has a quad-camera setup but in a square layout instead.
The front of the device is the same as the Mate 30 Pro with the waterfall display and a wide notch, carefully hidden thanks to a black-themed wallpaper.
The standard Mate 30’s render only shows the front of the phone. It has a full-screen display with the exception of the notch. The notch is smaller than the Mate 30 Pro but large enough to house two camera sensors. The phone is rumored to have a similar circular quad-camera setup at the back as well, but there’s no confirmation on that yet.
