PCB Removes Mickey Arthur & Rest of the Coaching Staff
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Cricket Committee has unanimously decided to not renew the coaching staff’s contract following its final meeting on Tuesday.
Earlier, the reports said that the Cricket Committee and the PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani had a difference of opinion over the coaching staff. Wasim Akram and Ehsan Mani insisted on renewing Mickey Arthur’s contract whereas the remaining members wanted to bring in the local coaching staff.
What this means is that the coaching staff, including Head Coach, Mickey Arthur, Bowling Coach, Azhar Mehmood, Batting Coach, Grant Flower, and Trainer Grant Ludden will no longer be a part of Pakistan cricket.
PCB Chairman, Ehsan Mani lauded the detailed assessment of the Cricket Committee.
The PCB remains committed to its fans and followers and we will do our utmost to ensure that we make decisions that continue to move Pakistan cricket forward in all formats”, he further added.
The board will invite applications for the vacant roles and the new coaching staff will be appointed based on special criteria as previously said by PCB MD, Wasim Khan.
